Excellent choice!

We love that we were picked up at the airport, after a long overnight flight from Asia. We had a lot of luggage since we were on a 3 week holiday, and we were heading to a ski resort after our trip to Paris. Everything was very smooth. Thomas and Bernard were both wonderful. We fell in love with the apartment right away. Each day we walked up the road to the metro (there is also a stop outside the door, but we always needed the line that was just up the road, about a 5 minute walk). We frequented a lovely bakery every day that was on the corner and we stocked up on other snacks and drinks from a nearby grocery store. Nothing was too far away. The apartment was very comfortable and had everything we needed. The espresso machine was a nice touch. We did laundry which was great. We never heard or saw any of the neighbors. We had a few questions during our stay and Bernard always very promptly replied to my emails. We also absolutely loved the bottle of red wine that was left for us. We would definitely stay here again and I would highly recommend this apartment to couples or families with 2 children. Our 16 and 14 year old were fine sleeping on the pull out sofa.

Old world Paris outside, modern and spacious inside
Posted on: 04/12/2017
We stayed here with our 2 daughters, 13 & 15 for a week last summer, it was perfect for us. Plenty of room and every amenity needed. Once I had exhaustively researched neighborhoods and apartments, the things that stood out with this one and Holidays France for me were the included airport pick up, comfortable sleeper sofa in this apartment (my daughters said it was one of the most comfortable they've ever slept on!), and step out balcony with French doors. The apartment building has a very small elevator, just like most European hotels. We only had one carry on bag each (for 3 weeks, a miracle), but if you had larger suitcases you plus your bag likely won't fit in the elevator. It has well worn creaky, twisty wooden stairs, which to me added to the charm. Inside the apartment itself is modern, spacious and felt clean. We are met at Orly, as arranged, by our driver, our flight from Naples was late arriving, but it was not a problem and it was so nice to be met inside the airport and be driven to the apartment by someone who knew exactly where it was, it seemed that it might be hard to find on our own or for a cab driver. Bernard met us at the apartment and was so helpful, pointing out restaurants in the neighborhood, he had an entire notebook with information in it, which we referred to many times during out stay. He left us some wonderful red wine from his family winery in the south of France, and some milk for our morning coffee. We used the washing machine, after reading the instructions in the notebook and it worked wonderfully. We also took Bernard's recommendation of a local restaurant and trying the Aligot. It was amazing! The name of the restaurant escapes me (it is in the notebook in the apartment), but it is on the corner directly across from Café Gaite. Anything and everything you need is within walking distance, Metro stops Gaite and Edgar Quinet are closest. Gare Montparnesse is right across the street, we took the train to Versailles one day from the station. Bakeries, cafes, gelaterias and the world's tiniest, well stocked grocery store that seemed to always be open are all right there. The only minor drawback to me was that the area is a little more modern, business district than I imagined it would be, Avenue Du Maine is a very busy street, but you couldn't hear the street with the doors shut and we were there over Bastille Day. Also, regarding the location, this probably wouldn't bother some people, but because we were there with our young teen daughters, it was a little bit of an issue. If you go left out of the apartment to explore the surrounding streets, then left again there were a few Adult x-rated shops, we made this mistake when looking for a creperie the first night there. If you go right out of the apartment then right it is a wonderful neighborhood with shops, cafes, bakeries, etc. There is no A/C, but it gets a wonderful breeze, it was close to 100F (40C) a couple of the days we were there and with the balcony doors open in the evening it was not too hot, it's on the top floor (5th I believe), well above the street so felt perfectly safe leaving the doors open all night. We had Holidays France arrange a car for us on the way back to Orly when we were departing, which is not included in the price, but it was very nice to have it arranged for us by someone who was a native French speaker and knew exactly how to tell the driver where the apartment was. They were very responsive before and during our stay and everything went smoothly, would definitely recommend!

Wonderful Company, Wonderful Stay

Holidays France Rentals is a wonderful company. We wholeheartedly recommend them when choosing a Paris apartment rental. Owner Bernard is a gracious host who truly cares about his customers. His team is very professional and promptly respond to questions or problems. My husband and I have rented the Montparnasse apartment six times over the last six years. We love the apartment, it is perfect for us. Very modern décor. A very comfortable bed in a separate bedroom. Also a fabulous shower. The kitchen is well equipped and a pleasure to cook in so we don't have to eat all our meals out. Close by supermarkets and open air markets allow us to purchase all the ingredients we need. The location is very convenient for sightseeing. The Montparnasse train station is a short walk. Four metro lines intersect there so you can easily travel all around Paris. The streets surrounding the apartment offer a lot of good restaurants including a good selection of crêperies. We can't wait to return because coming back to this apartment is like coming home.

Lovely Apartment

This is a lovely apartment, it had everything I needed and is in a great location with the metro right outside the front door. The apartment is light, comfortable and clean. The bed was very comfortable. I was met by a rep from the agency who supplied me with milk and a bottle of wine. The free collection from the airport was a bonus too. I would definitely stay here again when in Paris.

Great location near Gare Montparnasse and most metro lines. Good restaurant choices nearby. The apartment is quite modern inside, with good view, includes smallest elevator in Paris!

Room with a View

Upon arriving at our Paris apartment we were greeted by Bernard, who welcomed us and assisted us in settling in.We were provided with a few essentials which were very much appreciated. We were delighted with the location, being very close to Gare Montparnasse train station and a few meters away from a handy market. The apartment was very comfortable with a nice kitchen, that allowed us to eat in for the first time on our trip. The balcony allowed us to watch this lovely part of the world go by, whilst enjoying local wine and cheese. The apartment was clean and well presented. When we return to Paris we will return to Montparnasse

Lovely modern apartment, great location, excellent service

We just loved this apartment. It was modern, roomy, comfortable and it had all the amenities for an enjoyable stay. Like a computer so we didn't need to bring one, a washer so we could pack light, a fully equipped kitchen to cook some meals and save some euros for sightseeing. We also loved the three floor to ceiling windows and balcony overlooking the street below which gave us a lovely breeze through the apt. The rental agency personnel were extremely professional and helpful. Jeremy patiently answered all of our e-mail questions before we left home. Bernard met us at the apartment and fully explained everything to us. They were always accessible for questions during our stay esp. when we couldn't remember how to operate the washer. The location is a short walk to the Montparnasse metro station where 4 lines converge and can literally take you in all directions to all the sites in Paris. We used the metro extensively buying a ""carnet"" of 10 tickets each at a time which was cheaper than individual tickets. There are two large supermarkets very close by as well as open air markets. Restaurants are numerous including alot of excellent creperies. We especially liked Creperie de Josselin on rue du Montparnasse. It's very popular and doesn't take credit cards but the crepes are delicious and it is definitely worth a wait.

Fabulous apartment in Montparnasse area
Posted on: 11/04/2017
Great one bedroom apartment that sleeps up to four people. It has one bedroom, and a living room with a foldout couch. Tastefully furnished with cute bathroom. Windows open onto narrow balconies giving superb view of the Montparnasse area. Great location near the Montparnasse train station, and easy Metro access. Just a block from Air France bus stop from CDG. Lots of great restaurants in the area; easy to get to any Paris location given that it is located close to various forms of public transportation. There is lots of shopping in the mall at the base of the Montparnasse tower, and a nearby Monoprix for groceries. Has a computer and wi-fi which was easy to sign on to. No printer for boarding passes, etc. All-in-all we would stay here again, and are thinking of returning in May.

Central, Convenient, Modern

We stayed in this perfectly situated apartment for 5 nights to explore and experience Paris. The apartment was very modern and a great place to come home to in the evenings after a busy day in Paris (the Nespresso machine is a nice touch). The Gaité tube station is right at your doorstep and the Montparnasse station is about 300m away, with trains that run directly to Versailles hourly. There is also a supermarket nearby and patisserie down the road where you can get fresh bread. Bernard from Holiday France Rentals organized a driver for us from the Lyon station and met us at the apartment to handover the key. We would recommend this to anyone.

Great apt in a central location, perfect.
Posted on: 31/01/2017
Paris for 11 days w my BFF to celebrate a big birthday. We chose this apt based on number of reviews and the content of those reviews. We were not disappointed. Met at the CDG airport and taken directly to the apt. There we were met by Bernard's lovely and charming daughter for our check in. The apt was as advertised and plenty large enough. Loved the huge windows that opened up onto a small balcony. Sofa bed was the most comfortable one I've ever slept on. Loved the stone shower. Close to everything, food shops, metro, bakery, train. Walk up one block and turn right and you have a magnificent view of the Eiffel Tower. Holiday France Rental is very easy to work with. Heartily recommend.

Beautiful apartment in great location

We were lucky enough to have spent 10 days over Christmas and New Year in this wonderful apartment. We chose this apartment based on the number of reviews and the good content of those reviews and we were definitely not disappointed. The apartment was clean, comfortable, well appointed and the location was excellent -safe and close to everything; cafes, Metro, bakery (which we frequented every day), restaurants and supermarkets. We loved walking through the outdoor markets purchasing food that we could take back to cook in the apt. We were met at CDG airport and taken directly to the apt where we were met by Bernard for our check in. He thoroughly explained everything in apt, gave us a great map of Paris and even suggested a few wonderful places to eat at. The apt was as advertised and plenty big enough for the 2 of us. Loved the little extras like coffee pods, milk, jam, stamped postcards and a bottle of French red. Always appreciated after a 24 hour flight. Holiday France Rentals were very easy to work with, responded to emails and questions promptly. Highly recommend

Enjoyed our stay; good agency service
Posted on: 17/01/2017
The apartment felt quite spacious, especially for Paris, with lots of light, and we were very happy with all the amenities and the service from the agency (Holidays France Rentals). Although Air France delayed our plane by a day, we emailed the agency, and their driver was there on time to meet us at CDG when we arrived before 6 am -- a very welcome service included in the cost. It was a good thing, too, since when we arrived we found that the rental contract we'd signed had the wrong Montparnasse address, and we could have been very lost if we'd had to take a taxi! We like the Montparnasse neighborhood, although we could have wished for a slightly less busy street than Ave du Maine. The French windows did a good job of keeping out the traffic noise, but I would not recommend this apartment in hot weather, as it has no A/C and would be quite noisy with open windows.

The photos on the website give an accurate impression of the apartment. The bed was very comfortable, and it was nice to have a big closet, not common in French apartments. We also really liked the large shower, and did not find a problem with the draining that others have mentioned. The heated towel rack was also a nice plus. We did not use the washing machine, but everything else worked very well, and we enjoyed the Nespresso coffeemaker. When we had a couple of questions during our stay, we got very quick email responses from the agency. Anyone planning to stay here after fall 2015 should check on the status of the elevator. There was a sign at the entry saying that it was due for repairs and would be out of commission for some time, I think beginning in November. It did not affect us, but I would NOT have wanted to walk up those 5 flights of steep stairs. Not recommended for handicapped, even with the elevator, since there are several winding steps to the apartment from the elevator, with not very good railings.

A tip for anyone staying in Montparnasse: Walk the short distance to the Tower for breakfast and get wonderful views over Paris from the restaurant. If you just go to the observation deck, you pay the same 15€ fee without the coffee and croissants.
